Riesling Rocks Revival – A Virtual Event
Teutonic Wine Company
At your home
Because it is the best wine in the world!
If you don’t believe it, ask our three guest winemakers at our Riesling Rocks Revival Virtual Event on July 25th.
Our first guest speaker is Daniel Emmes, originally from Germany, now living in Oregon and working at J. Christopher, can fill in an entire encyclopedia of Riesling knowledge. Daniel worked at one of Germany’s top Riesling producer Weingut Dönnhoff in the Nahe and three years promoting international sales for Dr. Loosen. Oh yes, and he’s Riesling Royalty, the nephew of Erni Loosen. Daniel will share with you the world of Riesling from the Country that makes some of the best Rieslings in the world.
Our next guest speaker is Kelby Russell, winemaker at Red Newt Cellars in the Finger Lakes. Kelby has years of experience producing Riesling in various countries around the world including New Zealand, Tasmania, Australia and now the Finger Lakes region in upstate NY. He has gained international attention for his wine making at Red Newt.
Acid head and über Riesling fan and winemaker Barnaby Tuttle of Teutonic Wine Company, will also be in the fold as a guest speaker. Riesling is the reason why Barnaby makes wine. While Mosel Valley Riesling is his favorite, he has found vineyards that produced the style of Riesling fruit that works with his program. Barnaby produces several different Rieslings varying from bone dry to sweet and everything in between. Regardless of your favorite dry or sweetness level in your Rieslings, there will be a Teutonic Riesling that will suit your needs.
We have invited Kathryn Olsen, Sommelier and Wine Director of L’Oursin Restaurant in Seattle to moderate this event. She will take us on a journey together through the fabulous world of Riesling! You don’t want to miss this!
