2018 Pinot Gris "1908"

Willamette Valley

This Pinot Gris reflects the old world style of winemaking in Germany dating back the the late 1800's to early 1920's. It's fermented completely dry, barrel-aged for two years, allowing it to have more time on the lees (yeast sediment) giving it a creamier texture. Unlike most of our other white wines, the "1908" has gone through malolactic fermentation, a secondary ferment that gives the wine texture and a rounder mouth feel. It's stunning, and if you lean more toward drier styles, you will love this wine.
