Weather and shipping
Weather conditions during shipment can affect your wines if it’s too hot or cold. We will follow the weather closely and depending where you live, your wines will be shipped when the weather conditions are appropriate. Please be patient if we decide to hold your order for a certain amount of time if we feel it is a risky time to ship your order. If wine is exposed to very cold temperatures for an extended amount of time, it can cause wine to freeze and push the corks out. If wine is exposed to hot temperatures it can “cook” which will affect the flavor. This can happen when they are transported in non-temperature controlled trucks or freight.

Pick up option at the winery
If you live in the area or plan to visit, you can buy wine online (no shipping or handling charges will be added) and pick them up at the winery in Portland. We are open seven days a week.
You must be 21 years or older to buy and/or receive wine
When you complete the order form, you will be asked to provide and certify your date of birth and that you are at least 21 years old. When wine is delivered to a residence, it is required by law for the carrier to collect a signature from someone who is 21 years or older before they release the package. You will be contacted by phone to verify your age before any wine will be shipped out.
Teutonic Wine Company uses Federal Express (Fed Ex) for all shipments. Fed Ex will not deliver to PO Boxes.
We ship most of our wines ground (unless you specify otherwise), which can take up to five business days to receive your order (depending on where you live). Some wineries only ship 2-day or overnight, but the cost is so expensive that we want to offer ground and an option. Please note that because Fed Ex requires a signature from the receiving party who must be at least 21 years old, this adds an additional $5 to the cost. By law, we must do it this way.
Teutonic Wine Company charges sales tax for merchandise ordered on this Web site based on the applicable state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped.
We use high quality corks for all our wines, but on rare occasions a bottle of wine can get corked. If you believe this happened to a wine you purchased from us, please contact us at email@example.com and we will replace it.
We take your privacy very seriously and take all appropriate measures to ensure your information is used solely for the purpose of payment and delivery of wines you ordered and to provide you with information about our products. Your personal information will never be shared or sold to anyone under any circumstances.
